DSC goes China

Karlsruhe software house presents SAP ECTR in Shanghai: at the CSUA 2015, a meeting of the Chinese SAP user group
Karlsruhe, October 30, 2015
At the “CSUA – China SAP User Association 2015” event, the Chinese SAP user group met from October 23–24, 2015 in Shanghai, in the Renaissance Hotel Pudong. DSC was there too, with a multilingual team: partly at the accompanying product exhibition in the entrance area, partly at the presentations on the second day of the event.
The CSUA is an independent nonprofit organization. With this event, it offers Chinese SAP users a forum for knowledge exchange, know-how development, and networking with SAP China as well as international SAP partners. The summary of the DSC team on the spot: “For us, the CSUA 2015 really paid off.”
Stand support for SAP China
At the product exhibition, SAP China was represented with several topic stands. To support its Asian colleagues, the DSC team, including a Chinese native speaker, took on the support of the SAP-PLM stand. The subject of the presentation was SAP Engineering Control Center – SAP ECTR, the new strategic software platform for the integration of authoring tools in SAP PLM. Visitors to the stand received product information at first hand, as SAP ECTR is a joint development of SAP SE and DSC Software, which also supplied the basic technology for the new solution. After the event, SAP China thanked its colleagues from Karlsruhe for their valuable support.
DSC lecture on SAP Engineering Control Center
As part of the PLM Track, a series of lectures on the second day of the event, the DSC representative delivered a talk in Chinese language on SAP ECTR. For most of the Chinese SAP users in the auditorium, this was probably the first time they had anything to do with SAP ECTR. The talk gave DSC ample opportunity to show and explain the solution to the listeners as well as to demonstrate its most important features and its intuitive user interface – live on the system.
Presence as a recipe for success
Participating in the CSUA 2015 paid off for DSC: with many new and very interesting contacts.
