Siemens PLM Connection Americas: again more visitors to DSC
In 2017 the Karlsruhe PLM specialists again attracted more visitors to their stand than in the previous year
In 2017, DSC again travelled to the world’s leading user conference for Siemens PLM Software solutions: the Siemens PLM Connection Americas conference, which took place from May 8–11 in Indianapolis, Indiana – in the Indiana Convention Center & Lucas Oil Stadium. This year too, the Karlsruhe integration specialists had their own stand, which has attracted more and more visitors every year for years. The DSC stand was in the Solution Center, a separate hall for Siemens partners, who now number 93 (compared with 70 last year). According to the organizers, the number of conference participants has also grown – they now represent a total of 400 companies in 30 countries.
In hands-on live-demos, the DSC stand provided interested companies with fascinating insights into the benefits and opportunities of integrated product development in the areas of MCAD and ECAD engineering as well as multi-CAD and mechatronic. Thanks to SAP integration, CAD users for example can manage their documents in structures, classify them uniformly, and version them properly; they can also link them logically in order to show interrelationships. And all that very conveniently: either in their own familiar CAD environment or using the intuitive R&D cockpit of SAP ECTR. This cockpit further simplifies document management and offers a wide range of tried and tested extra functions, such as an embedded viewer for the fast and simple visualization of even the most highly complex assemblies. But a lot more was on display at the DSC stand too – far beyond mere product development. For the topics that interested the stand visitors covered the entire value-added chain. But whatever the topic, DSC got a thoroughly positive feedback and achieved excellent results by the end of the conference.
