DSC Software AG successfully certified for DIN EN ISO 27001
Karlsruhe, September 2021 – DSC Software AG has been successfully certified for the international standard DIN EN ISO/IEC 27001:2017 by TÜV SÜD for the first time. With this standard, the consulting and software company has proven to fulfill the standard’s requirements for the scope “Consulting, as well as realization and maintenance of system solutions in the engineering field”.
DSC successfully completed the certification for DIN EN ISO/IEC 27001:2017 for their internal Information Security Management System (ISMS) after the audit by TÜV SÜD. DIN EN ISO 27001 is the leading international standard for ISMS and currently the most important certification for cyber security. The standard provides a systematic and structured approach to the planning, implementation, monitoring, and improvement of operational IT and information security and supports the protection of confidential data.
For complying with the international standard DIN EN ISO 27001, DSC put their internal processes to the test. They focused on the internal handling of information and especially of personal and customer-related data. Finally, the external audit by TÜV SÜD took place. In parallel, a surveillance audit for DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 was carried out. The successful initial certification for DIN EN ISO/IEC 27001:2017, as well as the recertification for DIN EN ISO 9001 prove that DSC’s company processes comply with defined expectations for availability, confidentiality, and integrity in data processing.
“With the certification, we reassure our customers and partners, that their data is protected at best against misuse. Furthermore, they profit from optimally secured IT systems and business processes at DSC,” explains Dominik Maier, Senior Vice President Products & Development | Procurator at DSC.
