Future-oriented integrative PLM in SAP
DSC Software AG’s experts proved their competence as a “Companion for Integrative PLM” with their expert panel at the SAP PLM Infodays
Karlsruhe, May 2021 – How can companies use SAP PLM for realizing innovative products and services in a fast, efficient, and integrative way? Especially in times of economic uncertainty, this question gains in importance. Reason enough to focus the virtual SAP PLM Infodays 2021 from May, 18 to 19, 2021 on this aspect. As an SAP Platinum Partner, DSC Software AG participated in the event and presented within an expert panel not only the approach of integrative PLM in SAP, but also numerous solution examples from more than 700 satisfied customers.
Future-oriented product development is mainly characterized by short time spans for development and market launch. The prerequisites: efficient collaboration of all people involved and a consistent data exchange throughout the entire company. Only with the mapping of the entire product lifecycle, the digital thread from product design to decommissioning can be created. During the well-attended virtual expert panel, the DSC experts Arne Gaiser and Achim Rossel covered the innovative solution approaches that can handle this and the benefits resulting from integrative PLM in SAP.
Customer examples highlighted DSC’s versatility and great competence
At the event, it soon became clear: The extensive DSC solution portfolio is perfectly tailored to integrative PLM in SAP. With various customer examples, DSC experts presented the diverse fields of application for the combination of standard software with DSC know-how. Whether it is about the replacement of an existing PLM legacy system and the realization of a consistent process chain for CAD and CAM, the migration of more than 5 million CAD data records to SAP, the support with developing a PLM roadmap, or the complete package consisting of consulting, implementation, test, training, and support: DSC proved to be the perfect “Companion” for each case. The participants agreed that more than a thousand years of PLM expertise and more than 700 satisfied customers tell their own tale.
SAP presentation outlined the highlights and further development of SAP ECTR
On the second day of the event, Gerhard Himmelsbach from SAP provided a complete overview of SAP Engineering Control Center | SAP ECTR, the strategic integration platform developed by DSC and the core element of integrative PLM. The product owner covered shortly delivered highlights, such as the integration’s update to SAP EPD Collaboration, and presented the benefits directly in the system. Additionally, he gave an overview of planned innovations, to which customers can contribute directly via SAP’s Customer Influence Program. The conclusion of the SAP PLM Infodays 2021: All processes and data in SAP – this approach provides the perfect conditions for a successful path to the future.
