DSC Software AG recognized for its Worker Information System | WIS at the Best of Technology Award 2026

The award ceremony took place as part of the Handelsblatt Summer Camp 2026. Under the motto “Reinventing Germany”, the future viability of Germany as a business location, the digital transformation, and new paths towards greater competitiveness took center stage. Themes that are also central to the distinguished Worker Information System | WIS: the consistent digitalization of production and the intelligent connection of people, machines, and data.

The Best of Technology Award honors companies that make a sustainable contribution to the economic and industrial competitiveness with their digital applications. The competition is organized by WirtschaftsWoche in collaboration with its strategic partner Capgemini and its scientific partners Fraunhofer ISI and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology | KIT. The winners are chosen by a jury of leading representatives from business, science, and technology, including experts from Bosch, SAP, Capgemini, and KIT.

With its acclaimed Worker Information System | WIS, DSC Software AG digitalizes key processes in manufacturing and assembling. The solution connects shop floor workers directly to the SAP system and provides production-relevant information in real time.

Thanks to having access to up-to-date SAP data, a seamless machine integration, and a modern, device-independent user interface, WIS creates transparency throughout the entire production process. SAP data can be directly transferred to CNC machines, technical drawings can be provided digitally, and changes can be seamlessly documented throughout the process.

Additionally, this solution substitutes paper-based workflows with digital processes in areas such as quality assurance and assembly. Machine malfunctions can be logged directly at the work center and transferred to follow-on processes like shift management or maintenance in an automated manner. This improves data quality, traceability, and response times.
